TCP Tuesday 228 and The Weekly Winner

Last week's TCP Tuesday Challenge was a Color Challenge Hosted by Hostess with the Mostess, Lori.  If you know Lori, she is all about color and design. Last week, she challenged you to use Daffodil, Olive and Navy in your card or project.

For those of you who played in last week's TCP Tuesday Color Challenge, here is the place to put your cards.

Want to see what the rest of the Cat Pack did?

Check out Amy's fun card. She used the mustache die and the Build-A-Bingo set for her card. I love all the different looks that she gets with this one set of dies and that Bingo Card.

Amy does it again. I'm not sure how she does it, but she makes this scrappy vintage look so effortless. But, I know it is not.

Then, Jenny makes a card with no coloring at all! Huh? That's right! The gal didn't color her card in this color challenge. But, you know Jenny. Her card is a bold and sassy as she is.
Nancy's card is right on trend with her use of Chevrons! Just love her pretty, sweet card.

Julie's card is scrappy, but clean and simple. How she accomplishes all that in one card is amazing?

Now I want to see your card! Just add your entry to the inlinkz button below and join the rest of the peeps that played along with this challenge and you could win some Cat's Cash.

Then, head on back on over to Susan's blog. She is Hostessing the TCP Tuesday 229 Stamp challenge this week. And her challenge?

So the challenge is to use any "Penguin" stamp from The Cat's Pajamas.  Combine your stamp choice with the

TCP Tuesday 227 and the Weekly Winner

Last week's TCP Tuesday Challenge was Technique Challenge Hosted by Hostess with the Mostess, Julie. She wanted you to create gift for the teacher for last week’s challenge.

For those of you who played in last week's TCP Tuesday Technique Challenge, here is the place to put your cards.
Amy, created a sweet question box! I can see it as a game on rainy days. Stump the teacher!

Lori used the template from a past Project of the Month to create her teacher gift. A terrific K-Cup caddy.

Sometimes, you don't have to wait for a special occasion or the end of the year to present that wonderful teacher with a little something to let them know you appreciate them. Nancy creates a terrific card that does just that.

Now I want to see your card! Just add your entry to the inlinkz button below and join the rest of the peeps that played along with this challenge and you could win some Cat's Cash.

Then, head on back on over to Lori's blog. She is Hostessing the TCP Tuesday 228 Color challenge this week. She wants you to use Daffodil, Olive, and Navy in your creation. Work on your card this week and post your color entry in next week's blog.

Swanky Stamper for September

Yes. I know it's the middle of the month. And the Swanky Stamper is usually announced towards the beginning of the month.

I've had some requests, though, to push the choosing of the Swanky Stamper forward, to allow for those playing the end of the month challenges more time. I'm still considering that option, so this month, I thought I would try it out. So without any further ado, The Swanky Stamper of the Month is Wendy McGaffey.

Wendy Mcgaffey — Swanky Stamper for September

As a designer, I so appreciate the cleverness of a good design. Perfectly chosen paper. A well placed flower. Strong concept. Great colors. All work together to make a terrific design. Like this card by Wendy Mcgaffey. It has all of the things I mentioned and more. This card has so much going for it, if I were Wendy, I would be keeping it.

We had a lot of really fantastic players in the technique challenges. Like this one by Cindy Major. LOVE her use of patterns and textures. There is a lot going on in this card, but Cindy makes it all work beautifully.

This pretty, scrappy card by Cheryl Lea is another beauty. Delicate coloring. Wonderful textures, just an all-around pretty card, using our Commemorating You set and Stamp Trio CutUps Die

And Emma H. created this elegantly stunning card. White on white with just a pop of color! So sophisticated.

We had so many outstanding cards this past month. It was really hard to choose only one winner. But, congrats, Wendy! Great Job!

TCP Tuesday 224 and the Weekly Winner

Thank you for your patience, everyone. Blogger was not cooperating. But, lucky for me, I have several computer whizzes on The Cat Pack who helped me work around my issues.

For those of you who played in last week's TCP Tuesday Stamp Challenge, here is the place to put your cards. Susan was our Hostess with the Mostess and her challenge.....? Water!

Susan says:
I take care of the stamp/CutUps challenge and this week, the theme is:

Water, Water Everywhere!

Use any TCP stamp that implies water--whether liquid or frozen. (Sailing bunny, Puddle girl, Fun in the Sun, etc., even winter images/snow.) This should be super easy because there are so many! Combine your stamp choice with one of these CutUps dies:Wave Border or Snowflake
First, head on over to Susan's Blog. She has THE most darling gift bag/box for Christmas! Yes, I said Christmas! And it's just so sparkley sweeet. Take a peek.

Nancy always mixes and matches the paper on her cards to perfection! And this sweet one is no exception! Her waves really look like they are moving!

Amy's scrappy card is perfection! I don't know how she does it, but she always knows when to stop adding. All her cards are just right.

Jen's Winter card is as classic and original as Jen herself. And a little fun, of course.

Julie missed Lori's Color challenge, but decided to combine it with Susan's Water challenge with wonderful results. I love this image and her paper piecing. Is it just me that finds paper piecing so peaceful?

Lori, used the same little girl in her card, but the look is totally different. Lori has me panting with her coloring!

And Jenny's bold and happy card is just the perfect end to this challenge with her striking paper choices.

Did I say end? Actually, not the end. Just add your entry to the inlinkz button below and join the rest of the peeps that played along with this challenge and you could win some Cat's Cash.

Then, head on back on over to Amy's blog. She is challenging you use a sketch! It's the one that she chose for last week's water challenge. Work on it this week and post it on this blog on Monday for another chance to win some Cat's Cash.

TCP Tuesday Update

I have gotten a lot of questions about my blog lately, regarding the fact the challenges that I post are not as timely as they have been.

Many of our Design Team post on different days of the week. And, unless you follow all of them, (which you should, because they are really awesome) it's a little hard to know who is posting when.

I tried to post each day that the team would post, but that was a challenge in itself.

So, being the executive, I've made the executive decision to post a recap of the week on Mondays. A recap of the challenge with links to the Design Team members who participated in the challenge. For you, it gives you a place where you can easily find links to all the Cat Pack who played along. For me, it gives me a little extra time to fill orders, and draw.

I am sorry if it caused any confusion!

TCP 223 and the Weekly Winner

Last Week's TCP Tuesday's challenge for the week was a Color Challenge! Our Hostess with Mostess was Lori! And she challenged you to use Rose, Sunshine, and Teal in your project.

Lori says:
It’s my turn to host the TCP Tuesday challenge and I picked the colors for week's challenge with hot summer days in mind.   We’re playing with a bold and bright mix of colors combination—rose, sunshine, and teal. Feeling the heat, right?
Amy is feeling the heat with her pretty scrappy card. She uses lot's of pretty die cut shapes and the stamp is the focus of this card.

Nancy puts a twist into her card and shows that these colors are not just for Summer! They are also perfect for when the chill is in the air.

Amy puts a vintagey look into her card. Love all the different textures and the playfulness that make up this card. So pretty!

And I ADORE this sweet card by Jen! Just a wonderful mix of shapes and and patterns. And her jaunty little cloud? SWEET!

Want to play along? Just add your entry to the inlinkz button below and you could win some Cat's Cash.

The TCP Tuesday Challenge and Weekly Winner

TCP Tuesday's challenge for the week was a Technique Challenge! And our Hostess with Mostess was Julie! Her challenge? To use Washi Tape!

What is washi tape? Washi tape is Japanese "Masking Tape". It's thin, and comes in wonderful patterns and textures and Washi Tape is HOT!!  Our challenge today is to pull out your Washi Tape stash and actually use it, on a card or project!

Julie says:
I took a quick look around and there are so many interesting and fun ways to use it!! I am definitely going to try some of the cool things I saw, but today I used it to die cut with!  By nature, washi tape is pretty thin so if you layer it on a piece of cardstock so you should be able to run it through your die cutter with no problem!

Want to see more washi tape goodness? Here is what The Cat Pack did with their washi tape.

So take a look at what Julie did with washi tape! Does it want to make you pull out your stash!

How about Nancy's pretty card? She uses washi tape as a background and the main focus is on the stamp and Nancy's wonderful coloring.

Or Amy's Scrappy Card. I must admit, that scrappy cards are really hard for me to make, but Amy's cards always make me want to try.

The beauty of washi tape is that it tends to be a little see through, as well. So when it is overlapped, it gives a whole new look. Like Jen's clean and simple card. Very simple, but very sophisticated.

And Lori's fun design. Her washi tape takes center stage.

Want to play along? Just add your entry to the inlinkz button below and you could win some Cat's Cash.

Swanky Stamper for August

One of the best things about stamping is that no cards are alike. Even when given the same template to work with, like this Sunglass template that Julie Masse created, each card was different. Like this happy, joyful card that Cyndi Bundy created. Just full of fabulousness. She has it made in the shade. Cyndi is our Swanky Stamper for August

Susan makes the sweetest journal for her daughter using this sketch, proving how versatile it really is.

TCP Tuesday 217 and the Weekly Winner

Have you been playing along with our TCP Tuesday Technique Challenge this week? You have noticed that I am posting a bit later in the week to allow you to play along with us. In the Summertime the time just flys and there never seems to be enough time in the day.

Julie is our Hostess with the Mostess and she has a great Techinque Challenge that will have you made in the shade. She wants you to make a Sunglasses shaped card this week. And, she's even providing you with the template. Just go to our Forum on the Splitcoaststampers website and download the free template to make your card.

Amy went Nerdy meets secret agent in her card this week. I LOVE it. As a glasses wearer I can relate to the tape on the bridge. I think that has happened to all of us sometime in our life.

And our other Amy made sunglasses for her card. I love the die cuts in this card used as reflections in the glasses, just perfect.

Jen is hosting a swanky party for her beautiful daughter, Ellie, and these glasses are just perfect for her theme, using pink polka dots for the frames.

And Lori, rocks my world with a bit of fun from those rockin' penguins. She has the beat!

Nancy's bright and happy card is really perfect for this time of year. Especially where I am. One day it's sunny. The next rainy. Weird, I know. But, Nancy's card is anything but.

Susan's got hearts in her eyes with her card. Just a couple of die cuts make her card sassy. Who loves it? Me, that's who.

July Swanky Stamper

Noelle McAdams — Swanky Stamper for July

One of the goals for The Cat's Pajamas is to create stamps and dies that are versatile and spark your imagination. Give it a little poke, if you will. I am constantly surprised at what comes out of it.

Take this wonderful card by Noelle McAdams. She used our Window CutUps die to create a nine pane window for this pretty card. Then she creates a delightfully pretty scene for us to view through it using our Cloud Border and Grass CutUps and our Field of Pinwheels Stamp Set. Truly fabulous.

TCP Tuesday 216 and the Weekly Winner

I don't know about you, but I am always moved to create when I see Jen del Muro's Inspiration Collages for TCP Tuesday. There is such a variety in the photos, but all work together. And I love seeing what everyone comes up with when they interpret the Inspiration Collage.

First, hop on over to see Jen's very own interpretation of this sketch. Really beautiful and elegant. I just can't stop looking at it.

Then, go for some crisp Winter fun at Nancy's. She uses our Snowflake Lace Paper CutUps to give her card that dainty, lacy look.

Amy, just makes my jaw drop with her beautifully simple and elegant card. Truly stunning.

And, Julie's fresh and lovely card is one that anyone would love to receive. So Pretty.

Lori takes her inspiration from the flowers and vases in the photo and creates a wonderful card full of texture and interest.

Then go over to Jenny's blog. She uses the Lacy Floral Doily CutUps flowers to create an intricate background for some cheeky butterflies.

Are you inspired, yet? Then stamp something up. And then add it to the Inlinkz gallery below. You could win a gift voucher to our website!
