TCP Tuesday 161 & Weekly Winner

It's TCP Tuesday and Jen is the Hostess with the Mostess for this challenge.

Jen constantly inspires me, and this week is no different. Her Inspiration Challenge makes me think of Spring and digging in the garden. Check out her Inspiration for this week's challenge.

Then check out Jen's take on her own challenge.

Lori was inspired too! Check out her pretty card, using the A Cuppa Set.

Jenny used The Tweetest Things for her take on this challenge and I think you'll agree that her card is really fresh.

Don't you want to play along?

Still working on last week's challenge? Then take a last look at Jenny's card. She loved the sketch so much, she make TWO cards last week! There's still time to play to be considered for Swanky Stamper!

TCP Tuesday Continued

The weekend is almost here and we are into the home stretch.

I've been busy getting the designs done for the new release and playing with the new dies, too. We had been hoping for a May release, but between migraines and sinus headaches, it just wasn't going to happen. So it's looking like the last Tuesday of June for our next release.

We are going to have 8 stamp sets and 5 sets of dies releases, and this release, soooo makes me happy. It's all about SUMMER Days and being outside. You are going to love it.

In the meantime, The Cat Pack has been busy with the TCP Tuesday Sketch Challenge. Look at Jen's TGIF card. I love the colors on this baby, and it's so fun.

I just might have to make time to stamp up for this sketch challenge this weekend.

TCP Tuesday and Weekly Winner

It's TCP Tuesday and Leigh is the Hostess with the Mostess for this challenge.

And not only is she the Hostess, but she is a Birthday Girl TODAY! Yes, our little Leigh is a woman now. Tee Hee!

So as a gift to her, don't you think that you should play in her challenge?

It's a Sketch Challenge this week, and she's done a cute one. It's perfect for creating scenes or using that large horizontal stamp. And you don't need to use a star, you can use any shape you want.

Check out what Leigh did here. She used the Penguin in the inner tube from our By the Sea set and made a scene with him.

Want a different look? Jenny used the sketch with Field of Pinwheels . The sketch is perfect for that wide design.

And Lori pulls out her Idols sets to celebrate the Idols Finale this week. She's groovin' with this card.

C'mon and play along. And don't forget to upload your card to the guestbook at the end of this post.

What are you waiting for?

Have you stamped anything up, yet, for our last challenge?

Susan is our Hostess with the Mostess and she's challenging you to stamp something using any of our stamps with a flower in it. It's such a fun challenge that even I had to get out my stamps and play.

Check out Jackie and Leigh for some wonderful eye candy and inspiration, and then put your stamping hat on and have at it.

What are you waiting for? You could win some Cat's Cash, just for playing, or be named the Swanky Stamper of the month. C'mon!

Still Working?

Still working on your TCP Tuesday challenge card? Haven't started?

Here's a recap.

Susan, our Hostess with the Mostess is challenging you to use a Cat's Pajamas flower stamp in your card.

We are not really a flower kinda company, but here are a couple of stamps to consider.

And that's just a smattering.

Now take a look at what Jenny did with this challenge. Purdy!

Happy Birthday, Lori!

When I first started stamping I was constantly amazed at how many people stamp. And how nice stampers where. And are. Stampers are always willing to help and teach and mentor.

And that is Lori Craig to a T. Lori is nurturing and giving. And she always has on a warm, genuine smile. I could think that was all because of stamping, but I know better. That is just the way that Lori is. I'm so glad that I am able to say that she's my friend.

And I'm not the only one who feels that way about Lori. A lot of people do. So many that we are doing a Birthday Mob, just for her. That means that if you see the banner above on a blog today, they are joining me to celebrate Lori's birthday.

Here is my card to celebrate Lori. And The Cat Pack is joining in. Jen, Julie, Amy, and Carole, all want to wish Lori the very, happiest of birthdays, too! And Lori (our Lori) is joining in because her birthday was yesterday!

Enjoy!

TCP Tuesday 159

It's a rainy TCP Tuesday here in The Cat's Pajamasland, but that doesn't stop us from having a challenge.

This week, our hostess is Susan, and her challenge to you is to use any Cat's Pajamas stamps that include flowers in the stamp (PJ holding flowers comes to mind, but there are others).

And if you don't have one of our stamps that have flowers, then you can always stamp another companies flowers to jazz up your non-flower holding Cat's Pajamas stamp. Consider Poochie sitting in a field of flowers. Or Honey Bear holding a flower. Or stamp a flowered background to complement your Cat's Pajamas stamp. Just make sure that The Cat's Pajamas stamp is the main image.

Want an example? Check Susan's card! Then come back tomorrow for more examples. The Cat Pack is holding most of their cards back until tomorrow. Go figure.

GrAY Rage Continued

Are you working on your Color Challenge? Spring Moss, Gray and Bashful Blue is a challenging combo, but that's what it's all about, you know. If it was easy, it wouldn't be a challenge.

Looking for more ways to put these colors together?

Then check out Carole's Mojo Monday post. Clever girl combines the two challenges for a stunning result. Love her multi-tasking. Isn't that what we all need to do?

And Jackie is always up for her challenge. Look at her wonderfully elegant card. So pretty.

Another look

DUH! I was definitely having DUH moment when I posted yesterday's graphic for the TCP Tuesday challenge. The graphic should say TCPTUES158 and not 157 like it did.

Anywho! Did you get a chance to play around with this color combo? It's a challenging one, right?

Take a look at Lori's fresh take on this card. She uses the colors, but slight variations for a Springy look.

Julie's card uses the colors and adds a little bit of color to make her card sing.

And speaking of singing, Susan's card hits just the right note. I love the skinny card size that she uses.

Then, head on over to Jenny's Blog. Her sweet card is just right for babys and grownups.

TCP Tuesday 158 & the Weekly Winner

It's time for the TCP Tuesday Challenge. And Tori is the Hostess with the Mostess on this Tuesday Morning!

If you know Tori's work at all, you know that she is the Color QUEEN. Her cards are always jam packed with color and this week she is challenging you to use Spring Moss, Gray and Bashful Blue in this week's challenge. Gray is EVERYWHERE these days, in home decor, fashion and if I look out the window, in the air. I'm going to love to see what everyone comes up with using this color combo.

I'm heading over to Tori's blog to see what she came up with. Then, I'm heading on over to Jen's Blog. She always looks at things in fresh, new ways. Then, in the afternoon, Leigh's blog is the place to be. Wonder what Leigh will come up with.

And for one last look at last week's challenge, make your way on over to Jackie's blog. She shows us yet another way we can use buttons. ADORE!

What are you waiting for? Check out the blogs and then make something. Then post it in the guestbook below.

TCP Tuesday Update

Pssssst!

No, no! It's not Tuesday, but I wanted to let you know that two of The Cat Pack have posted some really awesome cards. Check them out.

Carole, just shines with her take on the Button Challenge AND mixes it up with some news about a brightly colored door...;)

And Jen, creates another of her uber special long and narrow cards. I really must try this long card. Just think of the possibilities....

But first I must finish drawing the images for the next release. Just a couple more to draw and they are off to the manufacturer to work their magic.

National Scrapbook Day

If you are anywhere near North Richmond Hills in Texas on National Scrapbooking Day, you really must make your way on over to Scrapper's Boutique.

Not only is this one cutie of a store filled with delicious scrapbooking, cardmaking and paper crafting goodness, with an awesome owner and staff, but on National Scrapbooking Day, May 6th and Saturday, May 7th, they are having a Cat's Pajamas Party to celebrate! And not just any party, but a PARTAY!

There will be Make and Takes and Prizes galore. And, you could win a special Cat's Pajamas Prize package worth over $100! Yuppers! And there will be Cat's Pajamas stamps and dies. All for YOU!

Check out the deets here! And go! Buy! Enjoy! Forget the Hokey Pokey! This is what it's all about.

Psssst. Did I mention that Cat Packers Jen del Muro and Susan Liles will be there, too? Go on in and give them a nice little pet, and maybe a scratch behind the ear.

TCP Tuesday 157 and the Weekly Winner

It's Tuesday! And even better, it's TCP Tuesday.

This week, Julie is our Hostess with the Mostess. And she is hostessing the Technique Challenge. This week Julie wants you to play with buttons.

That's right. She wants you do dig into your stash and pull out some buttons. AND use them.

If that's asking too much, then consider the Buttons CutUps die. You can make buttons without having to dig into your stash. And the best part, you can actually send them in the mail without having to worry that they will break. And don't forget about the Flower Buttons CutUps die. They are buttons, too.

Want some eye candy to jumpstart those creative juices?

Check out Julie's fresh Spring card.

And Lori's bright and happy card. Just love where she placed the button.

Jenny shows off her gift for mixing patterns and textures (and she....sews).

Look at Leigh's beautiful buttony card. It doubles up for last week's challenge, too. (Remember, you have until the end of the month to enter any challenge and be eligible to become the next Swanky Stamper).

Finally, head on over to Tori's blog for one last look at the Cat Pack's takes on last week's challenge.

Need more inspiration. Then come on back tomorrow. I'll link you up with more Cat Pack goodness.

In the meantime, get your paws inky and try your hand/paw at this week's button challenge. Then upload the card in the guestbook below.

Here are the Deets.

1. Each Tuesday we will give you a challenge.
2. You will have until the end of the
month to complete the challenge.
3. Add your entry to the guestbook or upload to the
SCS Gallery, using the keyword TCPTUES157 for this week's challenge.

4. TCP stamps are not required for this challenge, but highly recommended.
5. There will be one randomly chosen weekly winner, announced on Tuesdays who will win a Gift Voucher for use
on The Cat's Pajamas website.
6. There will be one winner, The Swanky Stamper, announced the 1st of each month. They will win several sets from an upcoming release and get to play along with us at our Pajama Party and Blog Hop.

Swanky Stamper of the Month

Sometimes, when I see a card, I remember it for a long, long time. This card, by Nancy Thomas is one of those cards. I remember when I first saw it, I realized that it was perfect for any number of the challenges that we had this month. Nancy used Bear Hugs in this card, and she shows how versatile a stamp can be in the hands of a talented artist. The same thing goes for a dies. She looks at the Heart Trio CutUps die, in a fresh, fun way. I just love seeing what she can do with our stamps and dies.

Do you know that saying "So many can, so little time?" That's what I was thinking this month. Only this time it was "So many cards, only one spot". While Nancy may have edged out the rest of the field for the Swanky Stamper honor, there were many great cards.

Here's one by Jodi Collins. LOVE this entry for the color challenge. Her additional of the pinwheel on this layout is brilliant.

As is the addition of the pinwheel on this card by Julee Tilman for the sketch challenge. I love how the ribbon echos the pinwheel and the cutout clouds just add the perfect amount of whimsy.

And then there is this card by Kimberly Gajewski. This card was entered in the color challenge and the sketch challenge. Her bright colors and fun flag treatment of the sentiment is cute as can be.

Each month I love going through the entries for each challenge. I am always surprised and delighted by what I see. And I'm delighted to send Nancy some of our stamps and CutUps dies from our next release. I'm sure she'll surprise and delight all of us.
