TCP Tuesday 165 & the Weekly Winner

It's TCP Tuesday and Leigh is the Hostess with the Mostess for this week's Sketch Challenge.

And not only is it TCP Tuesday, but it's our Morning After Blog Hop. If you are getting here from Julie's Blog, then you've arrived at the last stop of the hop. If you haven't, go back to Leigh's blog for the start of a really awesome hop.

This week we are all basing our Morning After Blog Hop on Leigh's TCP Tuesday sketch.

And it's an awesome sketch. Don't be afraid to turn it on it's side or flip it.

In fact, that's what I did here. I flipped her sketch and used "Bearing Flowers" and the "Sunflower Rosette" for this card.

I liked this sketch so much, I did it again.

Here it is using Away We Go, and some of our yummy seam binding. This color is Dove. It's kind of a pewtery, sterling silver color. It's really pretty. And then I used just a portion of the Cloud Border CutUps. This has got to be my favorite CutUps so far.

Don't you want to play along with us this TCP Tuesday? You could win 10 smackaroos in Cat's Cash and be eligible to win some of our new release stamps and dies. You just have to play along.

Sneaky Peek Day 7

Day #7
Kick Some Grass

It's the final day of Sneaky Peek Week before our June 28 release. Can you believe it? And it's the perfect time to show off this very last set. It's called "Kick Some Grass". Can you guess why?

This little bunny on Jen del Muro's card is just kickin' it and enjoying the hot weather. Needless to say, I am a little jealous. Can't you just imagine the wind blowing through your ears?

Julie Masse designed this sweet Smile Board at a recent Stamping Around Ohio. Based on a Project of the Month by former Cat Packer, Sonja Christoph (Hi Sony!) This nifty project features "Kick Some Grass", "Away We Go", our New Cloud Border CutUps and "What a Blast", and the Pinwheel and Grass CutUps from last season's release. It's so fun.

Want to see more? Then check out Leigh, Amy, Jackie and Julie, Nancy and Linda. Their cards really kick some...well, you know.

Thank you for joining us for Sneaky Peek Week. And a great big, giant THANK YOU to Swanky Stampers Linda Nicholson, Nancy Thomas and Julie Dinn for playing along and sharing their art with us. We are blessed.

When you finish drooling over at their blogs, make sure to come back and join us on our Pajama Party thread to celebrate our new release with even more eye candy, and giveaways.

Sneaky Peek Day 6

Day #6
Away We Go

It's Day Six of Sneaky Peek Week and I know you've been waiting for the bunny. Well, not just any bunny. The bunny we've been showing on our Contest Thread, "In It To Win It".

The bunny in the balloon is another illustration from Zlatoena Designs, and the set is called "Away We Go". Hot Air Balloons are hot, so we couldn't let the Summer go by without having one. He's landing just in time for our June 28 release.

I've often thought that this bunny is perfect for stamping. You can do so many things with him. Paper piece, leave him white or color him to your heart's content. Jen del Muro shows off both techniques. And her embellishments rock.

Tori Wild's card just blows me away. Her color are always so bold and this layout so fresh. I love the map behind the bunny in the balloon. She used the Cloud Border CutUps AND the Sunflower Rosette. Do you see the Sunflower Rosette? She wanted more of a traditional sun shape so she kept the points of the Sunflower but cut it down into triangles.

No one does soft and pretty like Jackie Pedro. She sews up a storm with this wonderfully textured card and adds a beautiful bow of our NEW Seam Binding.

If you are enjoying these peeks then check out Julie, Lori, Jenny, Susan and Julie, and Nancy. I think they liked "Away We Go", too.

Sneaky Peek Day #5

Day #5
Nesting

It's Day Five of Sneaky Peek Week and this week is just flying by. Are you ready for our June 28th release?

Each release I like to create a set that is a little graphic. It's a chance for me to spread my wings.

"Nesting" is that set.

Last release we had Home Tweet Home, a CutUps die set that had a birdhouse, a bird and a musical note. I saw so many beautiful things, using that die and The Tweetest Things, the set that went with it, made by so many talented artists, I knew that I had to see more.

So I made a NEW CutUps and stamp set that expanded on that theme. This time around, I wanted to have some birds that would live in the birdhouse. Or in a nest. So I designed this set with the birds and a nest and a Rolled Nest CutUps die. I think it came out really elegant. The CutUps die that you see, Rolled Nest, in particular, was designed with Julee Tilman in mind. Her art inspires me to think outside of the box. And the Rolled Nest is really truly easy to make. I'll be posting a tutorial soon, so keep your eyes peeled.

This card by Amy Rohl is just crazy cute. She uses the Rolled Nest CutUps die with thin cardboard. She took corrugated cardboard and tore one side off, and used that for the nest. How's that for recycling? Then she just stamped the Flourish Branch and "Nest" from the "Nesting" set and tied it up with some of our NEW Rose Seam Binding.

Want to see more? Check out Susan,Tori, and Leigh. Their projects? In the immortal words of Rachel Zoe...I die.

Sneaky Peek Day #4

Day #4
Up, Up & Away

If you know our penguins at all, you know they are constantly getting into trouble. And this release is no exception. This little guy in the NEW set "Up, Up and Away" just grabbed on to a kite tail on a windy day and he just doesn't want to let go. Can you blame him?

Susan Liles SOARS with this awesome card. Susan has this amazing gift. She always seems to know how I picture how a stamp should be used when I design it and then does it up even better than I expected. She cut apart the Cloud Border and embossed the clouds for even more WOW. The penguin looks like he enjoys floating in the clouds.

Carole Burrage has taken this penguin to a new level, so to speak. It's a CAS, with out looking like one. Does that make sense? She uses just a couple of graphic elements, to make this card sing. I love that she uses the Sunflower Rosette CutUps as the sun in this card.

Now look at this card by Tori Wild. How fun is this? Tori is all about color and design and this card really shows it. Love how she snipped the clouds off the cloud border to get these free floating clouds.

Jen, Julie, and Nancy make some really darling cards with this set, too. These gals amaze me every time. Check out these little ditties that will release on June 28th.

Sneaky Peek #3

Day #3
Wheel Love & Flutter By

It's the third day of Sneaky Peek Week and we are Sneaky Peeking two sets today. And if you've seen the paper pleating tutorial by Amy Rohl, you are already familiar with this one called "Wheel Love" I know that Amy's card was terrific, but just look what else you can do with it.

Lori Tecler made this adorable card that actually has the bicycle moving across the page. Based on a Spinner card, the bike has a penny behind each wheel so that it travels up and down the path. She used the New Cloud Border CutUps and the Sunflower Rosette, except she kept the Sunflower flat and and added a button to make a groovy looking sun.

Awesome, no? Check out her blog for more information on how she did it. She's amazing.

How about this great card from Jenny? Love this vintage look! And see those fantastic butterflies? When we saw the company that makes our dies come out with these, we had to have them. Sort of like a doily butterfly. So pretty.

I'm in love with this card by Susan Liles. She really shows off "Flutter By" to perfection. And the butterfly? That's one of three pack! You want something larger, we just might have something for you.

See what I mean? This Lacey Butterfly CutUps die was the inspiration for this "Flutter By" set. And Julie Masse really creates a mood with both of them. I love how she stamped the sentiment on acetate and layered it over the butterfly.

Want to see more? Then check out Jen, Amy and Nancy, Julie and Linda. They've worked their magic again.

Sneaky Peek #2

Day #2
Bearing Flowers

It's the second day of Sneaky Peek Week and I've got one of my favorite bears, PJ. For those of you not familiar with PJ the Bear, not only is he fabulous to color, but to paper piece, too! He's so cute carrying that big 'ole sunflower! He looks like he can hardly carry that big flower!

Now check out this sweet project by Amy Rohl. A Sunflower Tote.

It's just darling! And she uses one of our NEW CutUps Dies, the Sunflower Rosette. You liked the Easy Rosette from our last release so much, we decided to bring it back as a sunflower with and embossed center.

But where is PJ, you ask?

He was tucked inside the tote, but now he's here. Adorning a Gift Card holder. Just adorable.

This card by Lori Tecler is so bright and happy, I can't stand it. She really shows how versatile the Sunflower Rosette is by using 2 of them flat (and not rosetted). So cute.

And the type bent around the circle? This is one of the best things about clear stamps.

Is it any wonder that Leigh O'Brien works this set to perfection? After all, she is the Sunflower GODDESS! She paired "Bearing Flowers" with the Sunflower Rosette, too. Only this time she cut two of the leaf that comes in the die and placed a wire in the center to give them some movement. Want to see more of this set? Jenny, Carole, Jen, Jackie and Swanky Stampers, Julie and Nancy are pulling out all the stops. Just wait 'til you see!
