March Blog Hop AND TCP Tuesday

Hi Everyone! It's the day AFTER our March Release and our release was one of my favorite, yet. And once you've seen all the cuteness The Cat Pack has done, I'm sure you will agree.

Our Hostess with the Mostess for this TCP Tuesday Challenge/Blog Hop is Julie. So, to start it off right, start at the beginning and make your way here. If you came from Tracy's Blog, you are at the end of the hop. Thank you to Jenny Peterson, who joined us in our Sneaky Peeks, Pajamas Party and this release.

Julie's challenge is to make a shaped card. We do so many square and rectangle cards, it's fun to do something different.

Here is my take on the challenge. I made a gift card. I used the Pennants CutUps for the base of the card and What a Blast for the image. I used the NEW Grass CutUps and the Rosettes CutUps for the scalloped circle behind PJ. And I used the notched border that comes with the Rosettes CutUps for the little flag. This card was so easy to put together.

This was such a fun challenge. Check out the other members of the Cat Pack and then play along. Don't forget to upload your card to the slideshow to be eligible to win some Cat's Cash.

Here are the Deets.

1. Each Tuesday we will give you a challenge.
2. You will have until the end of the month to complete the challenge.
3. Add your entry to the guestbook or upload to the
SCS Gallery, using the keyword TCPTUES152 for this week's challenge.
4. TCP stamps are not required, but of course, highly encouraged. {Unless it is a challenge calling for a
specific stamp}
5. There will be one randomly chosen weekly winner, announced on Tuesdays.
6. There will be one winner, The Swanky Stamper, announced the 1st of each month. They will win several sets from an upcoming release and get to play along with us at our Pajama Party and Blog Hop.

AND the Weekly Winner for last week?

Remember, our Weekly Winner is picked randomly from all the entries of our TCP Tuesday contests.
This week's Weekly Winner is Barbara from Fort Wayne. Her entry? Argh! It be a definite winner. She uses our
Argh! Piratey set to create this card that shivers my timbers.

Congrats Barbara! You've won $10 in Cat's Cash. Contact me for the deets.

Sneaky Peek #7

Welcome to Day Seven of Sneaky Peak Week! It's the very LAST Day of Sneaky Peek Week.

We'll be kicking things off at our Pajama Party, celebrating this fab NEW release, HERE on our SplitcoastStampers Forum on March 28, 8-10pm EST, 5-7pm PST. Come join us.
This very last day, The Cat Pack and I will be Sneaky Peeking two sets. The one I show above is called "The Tweetest Things" and corresponds with our NEW CutUps die, "Home Tweet Home". And though they are designed to work together, the stamps and die can be used separately. I made the stamps a little larger than the die, so that you don't have to be too accurate when stamping. After a long day of stamping, sometimes it's hard to line things up just right. So with this stamp set, you don't have to worry.

I love the graphic nature of this set, lots of stamps to mix and match. And the matching CutUps die? Four shapes, endless possibilities.

The second set we are Sneaky Peeking is called "Simply Said." It's a simple sentiment set that everyone should have as their basic set. I was making a Thank You card for a distinguished gentleman, and realized that we didn't have a a simple stamp that said just "Thank You" or some of the other basics that you would use day to day. So I designed "Simply Said". It's full of simple sentiments and icons that I'm sure you will use over and over.

Here, I've paired it with our and Big Scallop CutUps. The look is timeless, and simple and chic. And, that rosette? It's our NEW Easy Rosette CutUps die. If you've ever had problems making rosettes, you need this die. It makes rosettes, fast and easy, without having to worry about the rosettes popping up in the mail. The Easy Rosette CutUps die gives you 4 dies in one. Two separate sizes of rosettes, a center circle and the notched banner that you see on the card above.

And yes, you get instructions to make the rosette in the package. We'll be posting a video soon.

Want to see what Leigh, Amy, Jackie, Sony and Jen have done with the sets? They constantly amaze me. I know they will amaze you, too.

Sneaky Peek #6

Welcome to Day Six of Sneaky Peak Week! Only ONE day left of Sneaky Peek Week. Can you stand the suspense?

Don't forget, we'll be kicking things off right at our Pajama Party, celebrating this fab NEW release, HERE on our SplitcoastStampers Forum on March 28, 8-10pm EST, 5-7pm PST. Be there, or be square.

IT'S THE BUNNY AGAIN! Yuppers. I just can't seem to get enough of this sweet 'ol bunny by Zlatina Gocheva. Mix a little bunny and some wishful thinking about warm Summer days, and you get "Field of Pinwheels."

Don't you just love his wistful look? And that belly button is the sweetest!

Here, I've taken Leigh's TCP Tuesday sketch challenge and used it with "Field of Pinwheels," our Pennants CutUps and two of our NEW CutUps die, the Pinwheel and grass die. This card came together so fast, it was scary.

Check out Julie, Tori, Tracy, Sony, Leigh, Amy, and Jenny Peterson's cards. Then check back in here, tomorrow, for the last Sneaky Peek!

Sneaky Peek #5

Welcome to Day Five of Sneaky Peak Week! Are you ready for another Sneaky Peek? I know I am!
When I first saw the drawings of Laurie Nadeau, I fell in love. And each time I see a new one, I fall in love again. Her graphic style is so clever and her characters, so sweet. And her line work just sings. Perfect for paper piecing or coloring, this simple image is from our NEW "Wet Puddle" Clearly Swanky Set.

I can totally see this little girl splashing away, making bubbles in the puddles that she squishes through.

Charming.

Check out Jen's, Amy's, Leigh's, Jenny's and Susan's cards. I know that you will be charmed, too. Then check back in here, tomorrow, for another Sneaky Peek!

Sneaky Peek #4

Welcome to Day Four of Sneaky Peak Week! It's the fourth day of Sneaky Peek Week? Boy, does time fly when you are having fun! And speaking of fun don't forget to join us at our Pajama Party, celebrating this fab NEW release, on our SplitcoastStampers Forum on March 28, 8-10pm EST, 5-7pm PST. It's a little later this time, because I'm flying in from the East Coast that day, and don't want to miss the party.

This next Sneaky Peek is from the set "A Girl and Her Cake." And I'm sure you can guess why I named it that. I love the bunnies that Zlatina Gocheva drawns, and this time she's added a girl bunny to the mix. And that cake! YUM!

I can't wait to see what The Cat Pack does with this little sweetie, can you?

Check out Julie, Jackie, Jen, Tori , Leigh, Amy, and our Guest, Multi-Swanky Stamper winner, Jenny Peterson. ( I love saying that. It's like saying multi-platinum winner....) Then check back in here, tomorrow, for another Sneaky Peek!

Sneaky Peek #3

Welcome to Day Three of Sneaky Peak Week! It's the second day of Sneaky Peek Week and we are almost halfway through this week of peeks. We will be releasing 8 Clearly Swanky Sets and 4 NEW CutUps on Tuesday, March 29.

This is a Sneaky Peek from the set "Idols."

Can you figure out where my inspiration came from? Carole and Leigh and the gang, have been after me FOREVER to do a set based on American Idol, but (don't hate) I don't watch the show regularly. Oh, I click in every once in awhile, so I get the why the excitement. I do like when they do shows around specific artists, like Michael Jackson, Elvis and my FAVE, The Beatles. So this set was inspired by those shows.

And let me tell you, I had fun. I can't believe there are sooo many stamps in this set. And I know who else had fun with this set.

Check out Carole, Leigh, Jen, Amy and our Guest, Multi-Swanky Stamper winner, Jenny Peterson. Then check back in here, tomorrow, for another Sneaky Peek!

Sneaky Peek #2

Welcome to Day Two of Sneaky Peak Week! It's the second day of Sneaky Peek Week and I hope you are just excited as you were yesterday, checking out the the new sets that will be releasing on Tuesday, March 29.

This little bear is from the NEW set called "Catch My Drift." Drawn by Zlatina Gocheva, this sweet, cuddley bear has fast become a favorite.

I love that he is trying a different mode of transportation, the helium balloon. And you can do so much with the balloons. Paper piece, color, watercolor. So much fun.

Check out Leigh, Amy, Toni, Tori, Tracy and our Guest, Multi-Swanky Stamper winner, Jenny Peterson. Then check back in here, tomorrow, for another Sneaky Peek!

Sneaky Peek #1

Welcome to Sneaky Peak Week! It's the very first day of Sneaky Peek Week and I hope you are just excited as I am to see the new sets that will be releasing on Tuesday, March 29.

And we will be kicking things off right at out our Pajama Party, celebrating this fab NEW release on our SplitcoastStampers Forum on March 28, 8-10pm EST, 5-7pm PST

So let's get started!

Our very first peek is PJ from the set called "What a Blast."

I don't know about you, but when I was a child, I loved playing with pinwheels. I would spend hours on my back, laying in the grass holding the pinwheel and watching it spin.

Pinwheels always meant Summer to me. Lazy, breezeless days, bursting with heat. Waiting for that next cooling breeze. And the pinwheel would let me know when was coming, heralding its arrival.

What a special set this is. I love that PJ is holding a great big Pinwheel, catching that breeze. What I also love is what The Cat Pack has done with this set.

Check out Carole, Julie, Jackie, Toni, Susan, Jen, Leigh, Amy, and our Guest, Multi-Swanky Stamper winner, Jenny Peterson. Then check back in here, tomorrow, for another Sneaky Peek!

TCP Tuesday 150 & the Weekly Winner

It's TCP Tuesday and it's time for another TCP Tuesday Challenge.
This week Leigh is our Hostess with the Mostess. And she's doing a Sketch Challenge this week.

And what a sketch it is. Check it out on the right side, over here. Pretty neat. This sketch was designed to be used horizontally or vertically. Take a look at what Leigh, Jen, Amy and Julie did with it and you'll see how versatile this sketch is. If you have our Pennant CutUps, this sketch just screams for them.

Weekly Winner!

And, speaking of screaming, that's what I did when I saw this little ditty by Laurie Whitt. This sweet little card uses A Beary Good Year and was randomly chosen from all the cards posted for last week's retro challenge.

Laurie wins $10 in Cat's Cash. (That's Gift Certificate in SprinkleSpeak). Woo Hoo!

Who knows? You could win next week. You can only win if you play.

TCP Tuesday Retro

This week's TCP Tuesday Retro Challenge has been so much fun. It's great to go back and look at the stuff we did before. I don't know about you, but it makes me really happy.

The sun can't decide whether or not it wants to shine or if it wants to hide behind those rainclouds, so I thought I'd bring out this little ditty from TCP Tuesday 105. Toni was the Hostess with the Mostess for this Inspiration Challenge. And here was the inspiration.

Pretty fun. I had a lot of fun playing with circles. Want to see what Amy, Jackie, and Sony did for their Retro Challenge? Check them out and then go play.

Just look on the left side of this blog under labels, and find TCP Tuesday. We've had 148 to choose from. Upload your card on the guestbook by the end of Monday to be eligible to win our weekly challenge. Post by the end of the month to win some of our stamp set from a new release.

You can only win if you play. Now go stamp.

TCP Tuesday Retro

I had such a great time looking through all the past TCP Tuesday Challenges. Here is my card from TCP Tuesday 116.

I was the Hostess with the Mostess that challenge, and I challenged you to use Colored Pencils and Odorless Mineral Spirits, aka, Gamsol.

Such an old school technique, but really NOW in this time when everyone is strapped for cash. No need to buy markers, just pull out your colored pencils, OMS and a cardboard stump and go to town.

Now it's your turn. I want you to go to town. Check out some of the old TCP Tuesday challenges and PLAY.

Need even more inspiration? Check out Susan and Amy. Then go create. Don't forget you could win $10 in Cat's Cash or some FREE Stamps.

TCP Tuesday Retro

This week's TCP Tuesday Challenge is a Retro one. We are challenging you to go back through our past TCP Tuesday Challenges and make a card using one of those past challenges. And there are some mighty fine ones.
This one is from TCP Tuesday 119. And our Hostess with the Mostess was Leigh. Her challenge was a sketch challenge. Pretty cool. No one does TCP Sketch Challenges like our Leigh.

Check out Tori, and Jen for their Retro Challenges and play along. To see the past challenges check out TCP Tuesday in my Blog Archive to the left. Then upload it to the guest book. You could win our weekly challenge.

TCP Tuesday 149

It's TCP Tuesday 149 and TODAY, I am the Hostess with the Mostess.
The rest of the Cat Pack is playing with some new stamps and dies for the next release—and there are some really fun things coming, if I do say so myself.

We've had 148 previous challenges. Some of them fun, and some of them easy, and all of them inspiring.

So my challenge to you is to pick one of the past TCP Tuesday Challenges and create something. Just look at the Blog Archive on the left under TCP Tuesday and peruse the postings.

Remember this oldie, but goodie from TCP Tuesday 131? The Hostess with the Mostess was Amy. And her challenge was a supply challenge. Use any embellishment that is Pink. I used the stamp from "Who's This?"

And the embellishment was the "Adore" metal sticker from Making Memories. I tucked this little card away thinking to give this to Anthony, but, alas, like most things I tuck away, I forget where I put them.

Want even more inspiration? Check out Leigh, Tracy and Julie. And don't forget to add your card to the guestbook below. We want to be inspired by you!

AND NOW. WINNER, WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!

The winner of our weekly challenge.... Andrea! That's Andreasscraps from SplitcoastStampers. You win $10 in Cat's Cash to be spent at your leisure, at The Cat's Pajamas! And here is Andrea's winning entry!

Woo Hoo, Andrea!

Here are the DEETS for TCP Tuesday

1. Each Tuesday we will give you a challenge.
2. You will have until the end of the month to complete the challenge.
