TCP Tuesday

Are you playing along with us for TCP Tuesday this month?

This challenge is a supply challenge. I am challenging you to bring out your existing TCP stamps and dies and use them in a new and creative way.  At the beginning of the month I showed you how to make rolled roses using out Heart Border CutUps Die.

And in the video I showed you this card. This sweet Penguin is from our Got Love Clearly Swanky Set, one of our Valentine sets. So for this card, I wanted to show that can be used for just a "Hello" card. A card that can be used every day. To me, being able to use our stamps and dies are really important, not just because of this economy, but all the time.

TCP Tuesday is now a month long challenge. So put on your thinking caps and stamp. Post your cards and projects on this blog to the right using the link to the right.

Want to see what the Cat Pack did for this challenge.

Check out Kimberly's pretty flower embellishment. It's a new twist on the Icing CutUps.

How about Noelle's no coloring card? She let's the image and the paper do the talking.

Susan brings a bit of a new twist to buttons, by embellishing in a new way, along with a fun way to add a sentiment.

Now what can you do?

Here are the Deets.

Welcome aboard it's love!

Love Fest 2013 - TCP Day!

It's Tuesday, so not only is it time for TCP Tuesday, but it's The Cat's Pajamas day at Love Fest on Splitcoaststampers!!   SCS has dedicated one whole day since February 14th to their fabulous Member Companies.  Each day a Member Company is spotlighted and hosts a challenge. Today, it's TCP Day! Whee!

Our challenge is located HERE in the Member Company Forum and there are 2 prizes up for grabs - all you have to do is participate!  We also have a couple other fun "meet & greet" threads going and we'd love for you to pop over and join the fun! Our challenge is an Inspiration Challenge.

Check it out! Julie Masse and Nancy Thomas put their heads together and thought up this fun inspiration collage. Now what can you do with it?

Hop on over to Julie's Blog and take a look at her SWEEET card. I love round cards! And I love that she used our Star rosette and Wish Stamp Set

Then head on over to Nancy's blog where she did the inspiration challenge AND the TCP Tuesday Challenge. That is talent! Here is her wonderful gift bag! I love that she mixed the Pom Pom Flower CutUps and the Topper to make this pretty bag. I can see this holding a wonderful wedding favor.

I have stars in my eyes whenever I see one of Jen's cards. Oh, this gal has mad skillz.

How about Kimberly's fabulous card? This layout is a classic! And she used one of our "classic" stamp sets, Bloom.

How about Lori's trendy card? Love that she used our Queen of Hearts Border CutUps! And our Warm Fuzzies Stamp set.

Wendy created a sweet frame for her piece. Makes me want to fly away!

Or how about this DE-lious card by Noelle? This is one I just LOVE. So original!

Susan, bless her heart, has awed me again with her scrappy take on the TCP Tuesday Challenge: Everything Old is New Again. She pulled out a set that hasn't seen ink in a while, Ewe Complete Me. I tell you, after seeing her card, I may just have to pull out my set and stamp a bit.

Want to play along on TCP Tuesday? The deets are below. Want to play along during the LoveFest and maybe win a prize? You know you do. Here are the deets.

And now a word from our sponsor

Ah! And now onto TCP Tuesday.

We've changed the format of the TCP Tuesday Challenges. So many people have said that a week is not enough time to get the challenge done. Sometimes, there needs to be a bit of "stewing" before you can actually sit down and create. I hear ya. So, instead of a week-long challenge, our challenges are now a month-long. Just post your entry to the link button on the right to enter.

Now this month's challenge. Everything old is new, again.

This challenge is a supply challenge. Kinda. I am challenging you to bring out your existing TCP stamps and dies and use them in a new and creative way. Maybe there is a Holiday set that would make a perfect Valentine's card. A die that could be used in a different way than I designed it.

If there is a TCP stamp set or die that has been challenging you so much that you haven't used it, I'm challenging you to pull it out and use it!

Like Jen del Muro's twist on the Gift Card Envie and our Brand New Toppers. A great way to get a different look from a classic. That Jen is so clever. Here's a peek. Now go and see how she finished it.

Or Kimberly Gajewski's sweet Valentine banner and card using our Heart Trio CutUps.

AND, she created amazing card with the leftovers. I'm loving her tone on tone card. It's a stealer. Er, I mean keeper.

Lori Tecler's card makes me sing a little tune with her twist on our Easy Rosette. A classic go to card.

Noelle McAdams' first week as a Cat Packer! She pulls out all the stops by turning our Rolled Nest CutUps into a sweet flower embellishment for a scrapbook page. So cute! Here is a closeup.

And hold on to your hats, Wendy McGaffey creates a fantabulous SNOWMAN with our Pom Pom CutUps! You have to see it to believe it. Amazing! Go take a look! Here is what she started with.

Now, don't you think it's time for you to play along?

 So, here's the scoop.
  1. The First Tuesday of the Month I will post a challenge on this blog. That's right! Here!

February TCP Tuesday 2013

Are you ready for the first TCP Tuesday Challenge of 2013?
I sure am.

This challenge is a supply challenge. I am challenging you to bring out your existing TCP stamps and dies and use them in a new and creative way. If there is a Birthday Set, change it out so it can be used as a Holiday set, and vice verso.

If there is a TCP stamp set or die that has been challenging you so much that you haven't used it, I'm challenging you to pull it out and use it!

If you've only used our stamps and dies for cards, we are challenging you to use them in a scrapbook page, on a home decor project, to decorate a gift. Whatever.

In this card I challenged myself to use our Heart Border die to create a rolled rose. I think they turned out pretty cute. And they were crazy easy to make. Check out the video to see just how easy.

Our dies, while they cut paper, can also cut fabric wood and acetate. The cut piece can be rolled or sewn or made into a three-dimensional project.

This challenge is to think outside of the box. I want you to use our stamps and dies in a way you might have not thought of before. Even if it's pulling out a stamp set that you've never used before. Get out your Cat's Pajamas gear and stamp!

And TCP Tuesday is now a month long challenge. Post your cards and projects on this blog to the right using the link to the right.

I hope you are inspired. Want to be more inspired?

Check out Nancy's pretty card. She put a little twist on a Holiday set.

Julie created a Sweet Valentine using an unlikely little man.

Lori pulls out the very first set she ever got, and it looks like it hasn't aged a day.

Wendy's creation has me all starry-eyed.

Want more inspiration?

Now here are the Deets.

We're BAaack!

That's right! After a long hiatus, TCP Tuesday is back. Only, we've changed it up a bit.

We've heard that sometimes a week isn't enough for each of the challenges. That you just get warmed up "in your head" and BAM! it's time for a new challenge. That it's hard to know where to find the challenge. There are so many challenges out there TCP Tuesday stopped feeling your love.

Okay!
So, here's the scoop.
  1. The First Tuesday of the Month I will post a challenge on this blog. That's right! Here!
The challenge will also be posted on our Splitcoaststampers forum and on our Facebook page
  2. If you want to play along you just upload your design right here on this page using the InLinkz button. (The challenge button will be posted on the right hand column of this blog so you don't have to search around)
  3. The Challenge will be a month-long challenge and you can play as many times as you like during that month.

You don't have to rush to get a challenge done each week. And you can play as many times as you wish. One sweet entry can win you the whole shebang.
Are you asking yourself "do I have to use TCP stamps"? I'm a little partial to the stamps, and it is a TCP Tuesday challenge. KWIM?
So come back tomorrow and I will post up the new challenge for all to see. Are you ready?

Welcome Wendy!

Wendy McGaffey has been Swanky Stamper many times. I love her clean, pretty card designs that have so much detail. So very many of her cards using our stamps and dies are truly droolworthy. So who better to ask to join the team than someone who makes me drool? The details in her cards really make each one so very special.

I just adore this card she created using Aye, Aye, Captain. Really a fresh fun card! Love the all the details of this card. The wave, the hat that she popped out and the notched panels give this card a nautical feel.

How about the details in this card? See the twine behind the bunny? Just brilliant! I can totally picture the bunny soaring above us in the night sky.

This card just made me laugh out loud when I saw it. There is so much to discover in it. And that's what I love most about Wendy's cards, the discovery. The attention to detail. Her humor.

I am so happy and excited to have Wendy join us on The Cat Pack. I can't wait to see what she does next.

Kimberly Gajewski

If you are familiar at all with the art of Kimberly Gajewski, it's no surprise that when a position opened up on the Cat Pack she immediately came to mind. With a wonderful eye and attention to detail, it seems that every time I look at her cards, I discover something new. Her bold style and clean stamping technique, just makes her cards go "BAM". Emeril would be proud. Here are just a couple of her fabulous cards.

I am totally in love with this card she did using our Feeling Cupidy stamp set and I love how she tucked the Cloud Border behind the floating circles. And she didn't have to use pretty Divine Twine for her buttons, but it just adds so much.

She did this card several Christmases ago and I still love it. She used Your Gift. Note the careful cutting out of the ladder and the pretty shading on the tree. And, the fluffy bunny tail. What I love most is her buttons. One, simply threaded, the other with a bow. It just adds so much.

This card, using Quality Time, is so pretty and soft. What a lovely mix of patterns and textures. Just so sweet. I am so looking forward to seeing what Kimberly comes up with next. We are truly lucky to have her join The Cat Pack.

Noelle McAdams

I have been watching the Swanky Stampers over the years and one that constantly amazes me is Noelle McAdams. I've been admiring her work for it seems like ages! Her beautiful, whimsical style seems effortless and her paper choices and color choices are just, well, beyond description.

Here is what I mean. This wonderfully classic card has a very simple color scheme using our J*lly H*liday set, but Noelle's mixing of patterns and textures make this card drool-worthy.

From Classic to downright fun, Noelle loves color. And she uses it so well. Take this card using our Star Rosette, Holiday Toppers and Soar stamp set. I never would have thought about putting all these colors together, but Noelle does it beautifully.

But, it was this card that just did it for me. She used several of our CutUps, along with our one of our older stamp sets for this beauty. She did such a wonderful job, I may have to bring this set out of retirement. A jaw-dropper of a card. After seeing this card, I had to ask Noelle to join The Cat Pack. And, I'm so happy that she said "yes".
