Handy Tip

Sometimes, I really think that I should know better. So here goes.

Don't touch a cat who is posturing for another cat. It doesn't matter if the tail has not poofed. You will freak out the otherwise loving kitty and force her to open her mighty jaws and sink them into your soft and meaty arm flesh.

While she hangs on with her teeth, it's now a perfect opportunity to rake her needle sharp claws down the rest of the arm and hand while bringing her back feet up to do the same.

Don't do this if you are in the middle of making a lovely Thank You card, as you won't be able to finish it because it will take a really long time to stop the bleeding.

Don't ask me how I know these things.

OMGosh!!! Seriously?? I hope you're okay, but the Nurse in me wants to see some graphic pictures posted;) Better get some antibiotic ointment on that!! Hopefully it wasn't your 'stampin arm'!

Oh, that sounds so, so painful Alma! Makes me glad that (but for Sprinkle) I'm a dog person... Slather on the Neosporin and pour a glass of wine -- that should get the healing started.

Owww!

I'm sure she was intently focused on watching the other cat that when the hand came to pet her, she thought it was a surprise attack by another cat, and then eventually realized and thought "oops, sorry mom!" May you get extra snuggles from her soon to help remember why we are sometimes the hand that feeds and gets bit.

and if it were me, an awful long time to stop the crying too. I'm sure she just toddled off to give her claws a nice clean too. Why do we adore these heartless creatures so much lol. Like everyone else I'm hoping you put something on the cuts quick....but we know that when we keep pets don't we lol. Feel better soon. Hugs lin

Noted!
BTW, pay close attention to that wound, I once had a hospital roomie who had gotten a really bad infection from a cat scratch, and another friend who almost died, and because of those two I went immediately to my doctor when my hand blew up from a scratch, I had to get a shot and be on antibiotics and soak it several times a day. Seriously, cat scratches are DANGEROUS. But your post was hysterical.
