Happy Thursday

I've been a little bit under the weather, lately, so after filling orders yesterday, I headed out to FINALLY see Harry Potter. And though it was the middle of the day, the theater was pretty packed.

For those of you who haven't seen it yet, you must. It's full of action right from the start. And dark. Very dark. Don't get me wrong, I was happy that the HP story had ended, but more than happy to get out into the sunshine, at least San Francisco style. Which means fog, baby, fog. Which is not very cheerful, usually.

But when, I opened up my Google reader and saw the lovelies that the Design Team made and that made my day.

Check them out.

Julie delights me with her whimsical take on the transportation theme. I love her choice of paper and her card sends me to the moon.

I love Leigh's use of the CutUps die in her card. Especially the Cloud Border. I love that she sits the bunny right on top of it. Like it's floating in the clouds.

Then Lori really soars with her fantabulous piece. It's amazing. You really must see it.

If you are ready for a little glitz, head on over to Jenny's blog. Her card is outta sight.

Jen's card is simply stunning. That gal can mix textures and patterns like nobody's business.

Jackie did up her card in blues, but it gives me anything but. It definitely puts a smile on my face.

Now I want to see your card. C'mon share!

It's TCP Tuesday and Susan is the Hostess with the Mostess for this week's Stamp Challenge.

There is a little planes, trains, and automobiles theme going on this week. Or maybe it's around the world in 80 days. Or maybe it's about the Big Race. As Susan would say "Whateves!" It's all about transportation. She's challenging you to use any TCP Stamp that uses any form of transportation.

Carole delights us with her stunning, bold card. I swear those butterflies look like they have just landed on her card.

And Susan's cards are always delightful. Check out her bright and happy card. I love that she ran the cloud through the crimper to get that extra texture.

So Busy

We've been busy. I've been working on that tutorial you saw in my last post and filling orders and working on the new release stuff.

But The Cat Pack has been working on some serious eye candy for you. They are all over this Color Challenge.

I don't know how Leigh does it, but I swear that girl can just wave her hand over a pile of paper and it does whatever she wants it to do. Her card is so purty.

Then there is Jackie. The queen of the tilted panel. Let's face it this gal can design a card like no ones business. Her card is just amazing. I don't know where to start, so I'll leave it to you to truly enjoy it.

And Jen, she whips out a sweet little tag that are just magic. Her tags work on their own or on cards, by themselves or with other little pretties.

And the "pretty" butterfly didn't fly by Julie. Her sweet and lovely card is stunning. AND she tried out making a little rose from seam binding. Lovely. Have you tried making one, yet?

It's TCP Tuesday and Tori is the Hostess with the Mostess for this week's Color Challenge.

She's challenging you to use Watermelon Red, Pumpkin Orange, and Grass Green in your card or project. And these colors have just whet the rest of the pack's appetite.

Lori always makes these challenges look easy. Her card is so fresh and pretty. And her coloring is spectacular.

Amy. What can I say about her card except that it leaves me breathless.

Jenny tries her hand at another CAS card, but it's anything but simple. This card is chockful of pretty details.

Watercoloring

I've been looking through the slideshow for last week's TCP Tuesday Watercolor challenge, and I've been blown away by some of the creations.

I know that the challenge was a hard one, especially for those of you Copics experts. But, isn't that what a challenge is all about?

Now, it's a brand new week and it's almost time for a NEW challenge. So let's close out this challenge week with this card by Susan. Oh. My. Goodness. That girl can work a brush. Look at the wonderful job she does watercoloring the bear and balloons from Catch My Drift. Truly spectacular. THEN, she adds a little sparkley Edward goodness. Check out her card and you'll see what I mean. Now I want to see what you can do.

Color my world

Have you played along with us this week? It's a technique challenge and Julie is the Hostess with the Mostess and this week she is challenging you to put down the Copics and pick up a brush. A watercolor brush, that is.

The great thing about watercoloring is that it can be as simple as a wash of color, or as detailed as you like.

Check out Leigh's masterpiece. She used the outlined birds in the Nesting set and applied a rich wash of color. LOVE the little bellies on these guys.

Then take a gander at Jenny's beautiful card. The background that she created with her reinkers as watercolors is spectacular.

Lori really has a handle on this watercolor thing. Her wonderfully watercolored image is absolutely breathtaking in its sublety. And her card is not too shabby, as well.

Then, lastly, look at Tori's card. She may have gone kicking and screaming into the challenge, but she came out the winner. Her watercolored image looks like it belongs in a storybook.

Well, are you ready for this challenge?

TCP Tuesday 167 & Weekly Winner

It's TCP Tuesday and Julie is the Hostess with the Mostess for this week's Technique Challenge.

And this week, Julie is doing it old school. This week Julie is challenging you to pick up your waterbrush and Watercolor. That's right. Watercolor. We've grown so accustomed to picking up our Copics to color that it seems like forever since we colored with watercolors.

Check out Julie, and Amy. Then check back later this week and I'll let you know what other Cat Packkers will be picking up their brush for this challenge.

Don't you want to play along with us this TCP Tuesday? You could win 10 smackaroos in Cat's Cash and be eligible to win some of our new release stamps and dies. You just have to play along.

Happy Birthday, Mom!

My Mother's Birthday is this Wednesday. She'll be 90! I am so blessed to have BOTH parents.

My mother likes to say that she has every card I ever made her.

So I thought I'd create her birthday card using the TCP Tuesday Inspiration Challenge as a jumping off point.

Amy, Julie, and Lori are all masters of clean, simple, beautifully done cards, so I was channeling them when I put together this card.

I just used the saying from "Bearing Flowers". And the Big Scallop and Lacey Butterfly CutUps Dies.

And I finished it of with a little Cotton Candy Divine Twine and some Cabbage Roses that I made with the Rose Seam Binding.

Such a pretty card. I was so surprised how easy it was to come together. This is definitely one that I'll make again.

More Inspiration

It's Friday and for me, it's the beginning of the weekend. YES! I get started early. Even though I have a tendency to work through most weekends, my heart still goes patty-pat.

I'll be putting the finishing touches on some cards I've been working on for what seems like forever, and then I'll be starting to draw up the stamps and dies for the next release. And OH BOY! You are going to love them.

Have you started stamping up your card for the TCP Tuesday Inspiration Challenge, yet? Jen, our Hostess with the Mostess came up with this luscious inspiration collage to get your creative juices going.

It got Amy's creative mojo happening. Just check out this fun card. ACK!

Then take a gander at Jenny's blog. She was REALLY inspired. I just can't tell you about it, because I can't pick my jaw off the ground. But, check it out. You will see what I mean.

Finally, go to Julie's blog. She has an absolutely mouth-watering gift bag! Truly fancy, I must say. And I know a project that I'll be casing very soon.

Inspiration Challenge

Are you playing along with this week's TCP Tuesday Inspiration Challenge. Jen is our Hostess with the Mostess and she always gives me lots of inspiration.

I thought this little card, though it's not a birthday card, really went well with the Inspiration collage. I used the Sunflower Rosette CutUps to cut out the flower shape. And the Lacey Butterfly to add that fluttery feel.

What you do think? Don't you think you should play along. Want more of a nudge. How about this darling card by Lori. Love all the pink.

It's TCP Tuesday and Jen is the Hostess with the Mostess for this week's Inspiration Challenge.

Check out her Inspiration Collage. It's full of yummy goodness. And there is a distinct Birthday feel. Though, you don't have to go Birthdays.

You can go a lot of different ways with this Inspiration Challenge. Colors, balloons, fluttery things. So many ways to go.

Swanky Stamper of the Month

Maggie Haas— Swanky Stamper for July

I'm loving this card by Maggie Haas. It's simple, but surprisingly complex. She uses the whale from Whale of a Time for this sweet little card. And her use of Aqua, Yellow and Kraft is fresh and unexpected, as is her placement of the sentiment on the tag and twine. I love to be surprised and Maggie constantly surprised me with this card.

It's no surprise that Nancy Thomas made this month's favs with this sweet little card featuring What a Blast. Love her paper piecing and whimsical button placement.

Noelle McAdams is back. And with stamping gusto. Love her play on texture, (check out the pinstripe button) and pattern. She uses Whale of a Time, too!

Now check out Tracy Clemente's card. It was the Weekly Winner AND one of our Picks of the Litter. Have you tired of seeing, yet? I haven't. She uses Honey Bear for her card, and I love, love, love the color combo and her fresh use of twine.

Maggie gets a chance to play along with us during our next release and a prize pack of some of the stamps and dies from our next release.

Don't you want to win? All you have to do is play along with us on TCP Tuesday.
